Week 8 Run 3..... Hips still a tad sore & knees ache but off I went! Determine to finish week 8..... Oh my god I really need to learn to run with my mouth shut! So many midges flew in, I swear however many calories I burnt off, I put back on swallowing the little buggers!
How many calories in midges???: Week 8 Run... - Couch to 5K
How many calories in midges???
Well done on getting through week eight! Midge ingestion sounds horrid! Still, at least it wasn't a wasp or anything! Good luck for graduation week!
Hahahaha I couldn't look anymore nuts than I already do..... On the plus side it'd hide my purple puffed out head lol
They're soooooo annoying aren't they! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. Hard to keep your mouth shut and breathe. Darn em!
No calorie info on midges I'm afraid but here are some others you might like to try planetscott.com/babes/nutri...
Well done on your run
Regarding that site, all the info is per 100g of bugs, not only do we not have details of the calorie count in the midges but I'm not sure how we get the blighters to sit still on the scales long enough to weigh them!
I too have problems with my mouth open and flying midges, I find that my breathing makes them get sucked all the way to the back of my throat when I do catch one which makes it well nigh impossible to cough them out again!
I had the same problem last night. Note to self - don't open mouth too wide when practising songs for upcoming concert while running! Don't really care though as it was w9r3 and I've graduated.
Thank you - I've just applied. Now need to pluck up the courage to try a park run.
Well done Lisa, good job you're not a vegetarian with all those midges you've been eating! Can you believe we're heading off into w9? Despite all the aches and niggles we're almost there!! xx
Well done, ice on those knees ( it really helps) and only 3 rund till graduation. WOOOHOOO!!!!!!
Can't answer the calorie question but as midges are free range they are probably very lean protein! Well, it's graduation week - the biggie at the end of it. Good luck with your first run of W9 - you'll ace it all. My best wishes to you.
