Did the first 30 min run today - 3.25km and it was.. ok. I mean, I was tired and hot and I'm sure a bit slower towards the end than last week, but I really really didn't want to go out - so I'm feeling pretty damn good about it all. Discovering now which music I like best to accompany the runs and working out a schedule for after week 9 ends.
No idea if I'll go out on Weds, since it has to be between work reports and the heatwave is putting me off, but it'll be Weds or Thurs - with the aim of finishing on Friday or Saturday.
Crazy.
I can run 30 mins!

Congratulations on completing your first run of week 9, only two more runs until you graduate, not sure which part of the country you are in but even first thing in the morning the temperature on Wednesday and Thursday morning in some part's of the UK is to be no lower than 23C/73F, so for runs 2 and 3 of week 9 be well hydrated.
Yeah, I'm in Milton Keynes, and I have really odd windows when I can run - luckily they mostly fall first thing in the morning (I work 2am-7am and again 8am-10:30am on Weds). So I'm debating whether to do at 7am on Weds or Thurs or whether to leave for Friday when I don't work so I can go out earlier and it's also going to be cooler. It may be a case of trying it on Weds, and if it's just too much then shifting to Friday/Sunday for the final two runs. It just sounds scarily hot.
I think Milton Keynes is within that 'heat warning ' the Met Office and Health England have issued an Amber Heat Health Warning for parts of England which includes Milton Keynes, so perhaps as you say you could have your runs on Friday and Sunday as that warning is for Wednesday and Thursday.
Yeah, I think that's probably the wise option, even though it feels weird to wait so long before going out again. I'll find something I can do to pass the time.
Well done arbit.......... I completed the same run today, albeit I’m doing C25K on a treadmill. Planning to complete on Friday with R2 on Wednesday so looking forward to that. Including the 2x 5 minutes warm up/down I’m managing just over 5K in the 40 minutes. Not sure if I’ll ever get to 5K in 30 minutes which is my eventual goal but a long way off yet.
