Seduced by Strava I thought I could do this running thing without you but this morning proved me wrong. Things started badly when I set off with my own hastily compiled playlist and realised after a few minutes that I wasn’t hearing the Proclaimers in my headphones but broadcasting loudly to all and sundry at 6.30am on a Sunday morning ☹️

I realise now that although I have scoffed at your music choices Laura they provide a vital mental anaesthetic and measure of how far I have still to drag my little limbs. As Westlife hit their key change I found myself longing for that blast of dodgy reggae towards the end of week 9’s podcast....and of course your voice telling me how fantastically I am doing with just 60 seconds left to go.

If it’s okay with you Laura, can you run with me again next time. I only managed 27 minutes today before Brian Adams cut out. We both know I can do better than that.

Is there a separate C25K BBC app as well as the NHS C25K one?.

Yes it’s great. You can play it and play your own music in the background. It automatically turns the volume on your music down when your voice coach speaks. BBC get inspired app - ONE YOU. Turquoise background with white text. Plus you can choose your voice coach. It’s great. Probably better than the NHS one.
