Week 5 but having leg trouble (shin part)

Hi I’ve been doing the C25K for just over a month now, I did the first one of week 5. Just wanted to ask, did anyone have trouble with their legs whilst doing this? I always do a warm up beforehand and also do stretches afterwards, but since last week my left leg (the shin part) has been aching and quite sore.

Any help or advice on this please?

Thanks

Yes it is very common: shin splints. Running surface, running gait, running shoes all have their part to play. Look in the Pinned Posts (FAQs) for what I learned about shin splints. No doubt you’ll get plenty of respondees to you post with advice as well.

I'm also at week 5 and getting pain in the same place left leg. I put an ice pack on it as it was a bit sore. Some advice I heard online was to land flat, but Laura says to land on your heel. Bit confusing.

I found compression socks and plenty of hydration helped my calf and shin pain
