I’m on run 2 of week 1 and I’m still struggling to run the full 60 seconds! I’m managing between 30-45seconds each time! Do I repeat the week until I can manage the full 60 each time??
Did anyone else struggle like this but get through it?

We all struggled to get through week 1, welcome to C25K and the forum, you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to, if you can't run for 60 seconds, run slower and gradually increase the time from 30/45 seconds to 60 seconds.
Hi, as AlMorr says, we all struggle at the start. Just take it slow and steady and don’t try to do too much too soon. Don’t worry about your speed and don’t be afraid to slow down if you need to.
You can repeat runs or weeks as you need to, just go at your own pace. Take care, keep hydrated and have fun.
Don’t be afraid to ask for support if you need it. We’re all here for you. Good luck!
Definitely struggled with week 1. It was a combination of being genuinely out of shape and the horrible realisation that 60s was a long time to run for me. Sounds so short when you say it out loud : D
As said in the other replies, slow down, right down and eek out those 60s.
Make the most of the walks to breathe deeply.
You should repeat any run you can't complete until you can. But you do not need to repeat the whole week if you have problems with one run
Slow down, I run slower than I walk but that’s ok. You’ll get there. Stick with it, when you don’t complete, repeat. You must take the rest day in between, it’s so important. Good luck and keep us updated x
Don't worry a lot of people struggle when just starting just go even slower and yes don't move on to the next run until you've fully completed the previous one good luck 😊😊
Thanks everyone! I must admit I am already running as slow as I can - oddly when I run a bit faster I can hack it more but then can’t sustain it over the 7 runs! I’ve got to find a middle ground I think!
So as it turned out - I did run 3 yesterday and I managed to run the full 60secs for every set with no problems! I cannot believe the progress between those two runs and I didn’t even change much about it! I’m so happy and excited to progress to week 2 now!!
