Hi,

Juat wanted to introduce myself. Ive tried c25k a cpuple of times before and never got oast week one but this time ive not told anyone im going to give it a go. I hope to join my friend next year on a 10k and in the meantime, try to control my bad habits and ridiculous weight gain.

So.... Any tips you can give a newbie?

You said it, "try and control my weight gain", good luck for the runs but it's no point on running and not having a healthy diet, regarding the runs, take them all slowly, drink plenty of water the day before you run, keep to the program, no running on consecutive days. 👍 🏃

Great for trying again, just go slow and try to enjoy running and drink plenty water 7 days a week. Good luck 😊

Welcome. Come talk to us after every run... if it’s great we can cheer you on, if it’s not we can pick you up mentally and give advice... whatever happens to you on this plan, somebody here has been there.

All you have to do is come to those start lines, cross them and work. If you don’t complete a run, that’s not a failure, you’ll be stronger for it the next time out. Repeat any you don’t fully complete.

Run slow and steady every run on this plan.

So, running 30 minutes requires just one thing... that’s you not quitting. The journey to 10k for next year is easier than this one.

You can do this... enjoy your journey.
