Is it getting a little bit easier...

I have completed week 1 tonight - run 3. I actually arrived home and didn’t feel like passing out!

It was still hard tonight but dare I say the last 2 runs were very hard, whereas the previous days all runs were sheer torture!

Happy days 😃.

Is it becoming easier or is this just a fluke this time?

If you’re anything like me you’ll find that in general it does get easier as you get used to the effort. But you will still have days where every step seems so hard! I really struggled with week 8 for some reason after thinking I was past all that. You will get through it though. Good luck!

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 1. I think you will find week 2 a little easier than week 1, as long as you don't go too fast, take all the runs slowly. 😊 🏃

No... not easier... BUT... you, are getting stronger. Each and every run, each week, moves you gently forward.

If you move onward, slowly and steadily, then you are ready for each of those runs...don't push too hard, listen to your body, and take notice of it.

Well done you you’re off to a flying start!

Yes it does get easier and what I suggest for you is please read the FAQ blog posts. This is really invaluable material for a new runner and should ensure success and ensure you are injury free throughout the program.

Have fun with it and enjoy the journey❤️

Thanks for the encouragement. I remember reading something before I started but I am going to have another look to refresh myself.

All the advice has been invaluable and I wonder without it I may have given up by now. I am certain I would be trying to run at my fastest pace as I do this naturally as soon as I start the running part. Due to all the advice I force myself to slow down and then slow down even more if I am waning.

When I have ran in the past I have given up after a couple of attempts. Looking back I had no idea what I was doing then, no wonder I was disheartened.

Thanks everyone.
