Well, folks, it wasn't long before I had to change the digits on my new fridge magnet! Parkrun was near perfect this morning and the conditions, along with my recent longer runs and strength work, helped me to shave a bit more off my 5k PB.
I WILL get to a 30-minute 5k... eventually!

Our bodies are amazing creations if we will let them flourish. For so many years I subjected mine to the most horrible abuse. Now I'm treating it a bit better.
Fantastic stuff Pianism. I’m loving that fridge magnet. Seeing my PB on the fridge like that, might stop me raiding it in the middle of the night...probably not though.
Chipping away at my time gradually, week by week and month by month... I seem to run about 3 parkruns fairly slowly and then suddenly go for broke and hit a new PB on the 4th. I will be having a proper celebration when I get to 30 minutes!
Love this and the fridge magnet did my 1st 5k run on saturday (only my 2nd overall run in 4 years) and felt a little disheartened as it took me 40.46. Think having a magnet would help me aim to beat each week (when I cam attend due to shift worker) x
I have all sorts of things to keep my motivation up... fridge magnet, weight loss chart, running plan, formal races, parkrun etc.. The more ways I can find to keep me going the better!
Don't be frustrated by your time - you are out there running and that's what counts!
