I struggled for motivation this week so first run in 7 days. Felt all wrong, the app was out of time and I missed Laura's voice in the right places. With over ten mins to go Laura said time is up! I really had to battle not to stop, it's humid I'm thirsty and part of me was saying 'well if Laura says stop I should stop"!! 😀 But i tan 28 mins according to map my run and made 3.5km

I can't believe I will ever make 5k..

If you don't make 5 in 30 mins it doesn't matter, you can work on your distance once you have more km in your legs

Heavy legs can be dehydration too, are you drinking water every day and not just on run days ?

I drink about a litre of water at work plus usual caffeine fixes maybe a glass of water before I head out to run. Maybe I need to increase that, thanks for advice

I have only run 5k three times since graduating in May. Hoping tomorrow will be my fourth time, at my local Parkrun. Don't worry about distance, just focus on time for now. Most people graduate without reaching 5k in the thirty minutes, it doesn't matter at all. Well done you for carrying on and completing 28 minutes of running, you're doing great!

You did it you ran for 28 minutes. You may need to up your water intake a lot see if it helps . Also why not try find a new route keep your running interesting and add some new songs you like to your playlist . Hope this helps good luck 😊😊

Don’t worry about distance I’m only doing about 3.2 km in 28 mins so we’re about the same I’m just concentrating on getting to graduation now I’ll try speeding up afterwards.

Thanks all I did wk8R2 tonight and have been drinking more past few days. Felt much better and "less heavy" it's humid here but I actually felt good.
