Go for it Jacqui! It’s a really good, well planned programme. Read the advice on here and take the running bits very slowly. That’s the way to make it sustainable. Motivation is my big enemy too but there’s always someone on here (80,000 members and rising...) to call on if you need a push. Many’s the push I’ve had and I’m just back from Week 8 R1. Can’t believe I’ve done that but I have! And so will you!!!

Congratulations on starting C25K and welcome to the forum, just take all the runs slowly and keep ridgidly to the program, no running on consecutive days and you will be 🆗. Remember you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to, good luck.

Thank you. It’s going to be a mental challenge getting out the door but I’m in the right mindset now and ready to give it a go. ❤️

Well done for taking the first steps!

I was exactly the same about 10 weeks ago and just graduated on Monday. You can do this, as the others have said, start slow, don’t skip ahead in the programme and make sure you drink plenty of water to hydrate you before you run (not too close to running, let it go down a bit!). I found this really helped with stitches and the heavy legs. Good luck, this forum is amazing, always an encouraging comment to keep you going!

Don't be nervous- You are going to be GREAT!

I was in your position a couple of days ago. I completed my second run tonight. Both times I felt great for getting to the end when I wanted to give up so many times. I have felt absolutely fabulous afterwards just for doing it.

I did it, I actually did my run 1, week 1!! 😊 although it was a bit hard, my lower legs being the main problem, it was manageable and I’m glad I got to the end..my feet hurt and my knees but it’s worth it just to know I can do this.. looking forward to my next run on Friday. 👍
