Attempted first run of week one this morning and couldn't get past 15 minutes. My ankles went so weak i was worried about going over on them. Also, I tried listening to a talky podcast as I felt it might broaden my horizons but without my music I don't seem to be able to get going! Called it a day then.
Come this evening I went in for attempt two. No pretending to be intelligent with talky podcasts just a banging playlist. Run 1 of week nine. Tick!

Forget the false start it was just a warm up, YOU DID IT😊
enjoy your rest day now, graduation is in sight, smell the Brasso and follow the light to big school, have reserved you a place on the podium , come on VRB you’ve got this 🏅🏃♀️
Some people like a talking podcast, I prefer music or silence when running or the metronome tick, tick, I have to keep pace with how many steps I run, well done on almost completing C25K, next run your graduation run, I wish you well for that.
Thank you. It really is each to their own isn't it? I don't think I could handle silence as my brain will get very noisy instead! I do like the metronome idea though, especially if you can set it to match your comfortable pace.
The metronome app I installed on my Smartphone two weeks ago is quite interesting, it's called "Metrome Beats" you can set it's beats/steps from 1 to 300, I began at 155 steps a minute, ran a 5K in 52 minutes, three days later I set it at 160 steps a minute and ran a 5K in 38 minutes, next time I'll set it at 165 steps a minute and perhaps I'll run a sub 35 minute 5K. I would imagine if I could run a sub 30 minute 5K it would have to be set a 170 steps a minute, not sure if I could keep up with that for 30 or more minutes, nevertheless every time I go a run I will set it a slightly higher beat, say next time 165, then 167, 168, and just see how fast I can get.
Yes mad is probably right. I couldn't stand not finishing this run today. There must be something about this last week, i really want to finish it but at the same time I don't as I like Laura and Jo to hold my sweaty little hand!
I just find the whole process of doing the run quite boring but i do love the feeling after it's done. Part of me doesn't want to graduate just yet......not sure I'm grown up enough to keep going on my own!
Well done for completing the run, enjoy that sense of achievement! Sounds like you got away with running twice but please don't injure yourself so close to the finish line! You're doing fantastic, keep going.
