Well I am almost at the end of week one & feeling good today 12th June I did manage to run for 2 minutes & then 1min 30 secs in between my 1 min runs but the 2 minute run was hard going but I just about managed it now looking forward to going out again on Friday morning to finish week one

If you are on wk1 you should only be running for 60 seconds each time . Follow the plan as it tells you to so not to get an injury . Good luck 😊

I know that but I felt fine with running the 1.30 & the 2mins it was a spare of the minute thing I was tired yes but no harm done as I went back to running 1 minute right after I will only be running for 1 min each time on Friday.

Well done. Stick to the plan, keep that injury risk down and learn to discipline yourself like an athlete... back in the day it took a few rollickings from my coach to stop me doing extra 🤣. Now I see the benefits of just running the plan. Use that “I’m feeling great” thing to start the next run, and with what you did today you know you got week 2... relax and enjoy it.

Thank you

I live in Wigan and I am following the beginners plan on the Run Wigan Festival site which is slightly different to others I have read I run Monday Wednesday Friday but its still C25K on Friday the plan says to run 2 minutes walk 2 minutes repeat 6 times I am finding this plan ok...………...a few years ago I remember seeing a sign in the Wigan Warriors changing rooms it read THERE IS NO EASY WAY how true that sign is.

Ahh... that’s cool then. I’m a believer in choosing the path of most resistance, and those warriors are right... this stuff isn’t easy... but that means we can step onto a pavement without being caught up in a stampede of runners. You’re on a slightly different flavour of C25K, but they all work! I’m not a million miles away from you... see you at a parkrun sometime. Happy running.

I am a while from a park run but I do live close to Haigh country park & as I get into c25k I reckon I will try running in there its all up hill to Haigh hall a distance of two miles a bit too much for me at present but I will give it a try in a few weeks
