I was sooo achy the first few weeks of the programme especially first thing in the morning and after getting out of a chair! Not many people mention aches and pains on their posts but I really felt them!
My knees have been very achy all day since my run 8 hrs ago..I'm wondering if its ok to take a rest for a week to let the knees settle down, even tho I'm only just getting into the programme..which ill be gutted to do, as i really want to succeed ..but I've barely been able to walk since my morning run eek!
I'm no expert but I wonder whether you'd be better to still take yourself out to keep in the habit but maybe slow down and repeat week 1 if you're finding it very hard. The key is making it part of the routine.
I would suggest doing some knee strengthening exercises on your rest days, you would prob find them on YouTube to help you. Don't take a week off but see how your knees feel in two days then maybe take an extra rest day.
Well done on starting the program & good luck with your next runs 👍👍
