2. I am having worrying thoughts about this Achilles ache and a previous calf rupture from doing nothing! Making it happen or worse.
Question??: does a run on a treadmill count? would an ankle support help?? I see these ankle supports advertised. I do not have an injury but my body is warning me π³ I have a fitness deadline π and I am100% motivated. I am up for tomorrow if I donβt need a boat to get round my area!! ππ

I'm not a doctor, so medical issues aside, yes a treadmill run counts. I did the whole programme on a treadmill. Put the incline up at 1 or 1.5 or even 2. Mine is at 1.5.
I do like the outdoors but worried if the surfaces are slippy! I sound like I am 110 years old! Just thinking of minimising any issues or risks until I am stronger and more fit !
Welcome... maybe get the all clear to go from your GP... check this post out..it has much advice and information.
Ankle supports do work,,but you maybe wont need one... Treadmill runs do count..many of our runners do the plan on them.
Out doors is fantastic ...
Even with a deadline, the mantra must be as ever, slow and steady... this is a structured plan and is intended to take you safely and injury free to Week nine and 30 minutes running.
Oh, and rain... learn to embrace it.... we have plenty! f you are outside.. just take it gently
