On sat I did run 1 and thought I was going to die! I have just done the 3rd in week 1 now, still red faced, doing the run on a fairly empty stomach, took off the hoodie as it was making me even redder and tied it round my waist and wore sunglasses to try and hide lol!! as so self conscious. However, I managed it and added an extra run as the sun was out, the road was flat and the music was just right. If I can do this anyone can. Thanks to all the encouragement I received after the 1st run on this website it made a huge difference to me
Week 2 here I come!

Great achievement! Sounds like me! Tonight I ran 2nd time week 1. Still red faced but grinning as I did it! I also think the sun helped so I had shades on and 80s music on Spotify! Yeh did it!
i had spotify on too and the sun was out! best time to start this! I need to get better trainers and something to hold the phone and house keys! but all good
Well done you. I did my third run of week 1 last night and it was a total disaster!! Part way through I got dizzy. Was quite early on but instead of just turning for home I carried on and walked the rest of the route. Will repeat on Saturday!!
well done getfit50, you doing fine, keep it slow and steady👍🐢😊
Well done, you’re right you can do this! I started out running in the dark so no one would see me as I felt very self conscious too, but the more I ran the more confident I felt. I love running in the sunshine now 🌞 I’m sure as you progress through the weeks you will feel more confident too. Good luck and I hope you enjoy week 2!
Well done you! What a WET week! Did my 1st run of 2nd week this evening! Had my music blaring in my ears and find it helpful especially when, at 70 years old, I had Simply Red singing Holding Back the Years! I’m sure I ran faster! Let’s do it ‘getfit50’.
