I pulled a hamstring 5/24. I have been stretching and seeing my Chiropractor. I have missed 4 runs—I run 3 times a week. I’m not sure when or how to start back. I graduated C25K in March and have been doing stepping stone, stamina and speed training.

From my reading here, it seems that if you miss 2 weeks or less you should just be able to pick up where you left off.

Has you chiropractor given you any instructions or PT to do first ?

Personally I would try a couple of slow jogs and see how it holds up, then get right back into it.

Tested the water just now. Walked a brisk pace for 15 minutes then tried a super light jog for 30-45 seconds. I felt sore, but the jog felt no different than the walk . Stretching as I am typing. Definitely taking it slow. My Chiropractor has me stretching and he is doing intense, based on discomfort myofascial work.

When in doubt I redo 1:1 and see what it tells me. Good that you’re recovered - make sure you take things slow and steady x

Just walked today with a very short very light jog. Felt sore. Seeing my Chiropractor at 10:00. I was able to jog and the discomfort was the same as the walking discomfort.

Hope that’s a good sign. Was the chiropractor able to help ?

First priority I’d say is to take care of that hamstring. Take it easy and don’t worry about “missed” runs.
