I have been enjoying working my way through C25K, and have just finished run 1 of week 7 with great success (see my other post).
I have signed up for a 5.6k charity run, that takes place about one week after I am due to graduate C25K. It's a fun event, and definitely ok to walk or run or both. Many of my colleagues will be walking, and many running.
It's been one of my key motivators for doing C25K, that I would stand a chance of running at least most of it.
Is there any advice you could give me?

Just run at your comfortable easy pace, you are now OFFICIALLY a RUNNER by completing run 3 of week 6, good luck for your 5.6k charity run after your graduation run. 🏃
A lot depends on how far you’re running. If you’re one of the very few who are running 5k by the end of this then you’ll probably be able to run the whole thing if you take two easy paced runs leading into it or around it. If you’re one of the vast majority of us, you’ll be under 5k and then I’d suggest running 30 minutes maybe 33 of that event, and splitting it in half. You can work out from your pace roughly how far you’d need to walk.
Whatever happens, remember that it should be fun... it’s a charity run so it’s all about enjoying yourself making money for a good cause... there’s no prizes for taking risks and running too far or too fast for your current fitness.
Thanks. Yes, all agreed. My pace is nothing like 5k in 30 minutes. Extrapolating, it's probably about 4k. So, I figured I would do something like 20+20, with a 5 walk in the middle, as you suggest. I won't push myself beyond that - I have felt within my limits for most weeks (after the first couple).
