A run of two halves!

So - I wanted to beat my new 2km record and run 'fast' for the 'there' and then see how well I could cope at my shuffle jog pace coming 'back'... which is all up 'hill' i.e small gradient... but boy do you feel it.

Well! my average pace was as follows:

There:

km 1 - 7:52

km 2 - 7:29

Back:

km 3 - 10:19

km 4 - 10:19

A neat average of 9mins / km exactly: 4km in 36 minutes! Which compared with my 10:30 min/km for my 5km run the other day is just EPIC.

I was very 'exercised' today, and found the uphill slow return a challenge but I DID IT.

Gremlins dying by the track side - even Portia my super-dog had her tongue hanging low and actually looked out of breath for a change!

I am starting to feel like a 'runner'! Yay!

PB

Yaya! Fantastic. I think you'll fine that your pace does improve the more you run. :)
