Hello all!! New to this and haven’t done any fitness for well over 12 months due to ankle injury.

I have never been able to run, unless it was with a football at my feet!!

Has anybody attempted this course who is heavy (I am 18 stone) and what has the impact been on their joints!! ? Does it get easier as you get stronger, as my hips were killing last night!! 😳

Well done Boothy just getting going is the hardest part, the rest comes easy (I’m trying to convince myself of that!) you’re naturally going to ache and running impacts on everyone’s joints regardless of their weight, just make sure you rest properly and slow it down a bit, it’s taken me a while to heed that advice myself but I can honestly say it makes a huuuuge difference 😜 keep going and soon you’ll never look back

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and includes advice on minimising impact, pacing and stretching after every run, which will all help.

Enjoy your journey
