At 57 and majorly unfit due to various injuries I have embarked on the couch to 5k plan. I aim to build up slowly by doing 3 sessions a week at each level and have just today completed the third session of level one - so wish me luck next week when I move to level 2!!!!

Well done for getting started - that's definitely the hardest part - and completing Week 1! This programme really builds up your stamina and fitness rapidly, and your confidence too. Onwards and upwards into Week 2 - let us know how it goes!

I’m currently on week 5 and I can definitely say that the first week is the hardest. After that, you’ll be amazed at how quickly you are able to progress and how much your fitness and stamina improve.
Good luck for next week and let us know how you get on.
Happy running 🏃♂️
