After Sunday’s run, the thigh ache/pain between my knee and hip just hasn’t gone away. I had to skip this morning’s run and can’t imagine it being much better tomorrow either. I was so looking forward to starting consolidation runs and Parkrun this Saturday. It’s such a huge disappointment to have to put progress on hold
Should I wait until all aches have fully gone before resuming? And if so, how much fitness am I losing per day? Any advice appreciated.

Sorry about your injury Stephen, I would advise you to not to do any runs until those pains have completly gone, you can still do some exercise but running might just make things worse.
Hang in there, it sucks but your body is telling you something and it's best to listen (unless, like mine, it's telling you something illegal, immoral or fattening, or all 3 ; ) ).
Seriously, sorry the pain is still there, rest up well and you'll be back quicker.
Sorry to hear the aching isn’t improving as quick as you would like. Def rest until it has subsided.
I read on here somewhere (maybe search the terms ‘lose’ and ‘fitness’) that we don’t lose fitness during the first two weeks of rest, so you can get back to running with no loss of progress. Rest up and keep smiling 😀 x
Two weeks off won’t impact your fitness, it will all be psychologically....I didn’t listen to a hamstring ache ..just ran and it’s really sore now so I will have to rest too...wishing you better soon.
