Week 7 run 3 done.

Well I have completed week 7. I realised that my journey has consisted of avoiding inclines and grass. If I continue that way then I will never manage my local park run, so today I incorporated road running, inclines and a lap of a field. What I learned was that yes it was a little tougher but I still got it done and the beauty of running up a hill is that you get to run down the other side. πŸ‘πŸ˜ƒ

With a name like twinkle toes, hills shouldn't be a problem for you☺ having said that I find the slightest incline on a park run feels like going up the peak of Everest except there's not so many people.

Twinkle was the name of my childhood cat 🀣. I'm going to make sure I mix it up for the remaining six runs until graduation as my next goal is the local park run. I can't run anywhere near 5k yet. I'm averaging about 3.2k for 25 minute run, so I am a tad slow. It's funny, I was so apprehensive about running in public. I got over that really quickly but now I'm anxious about my first park run. Hope fully it will be ok. 🀞

Park run is fantastic, you get so much support. I was 488th in mine on saturday. I do warm up leading up to the start, then whatever run I'm on(this week w8r2) then the cool down walk and whatever is left I follow w1r1 from first run. 39 mins later I arrived at finish and 20mins later the last 2 arrived. There is a tail runner so you are never last one home.

So pleased you changed it to a bit and we continue to learn on our runs even at this late stage. I ran mostly on grass today, still learning on W8

Yes I need to continuously change my mindset or I risk never reaching my full potential. Even now I find obstacles, it's too hot, looks like rain, stressie day at work.......I give myself a good talking to and think, if it was an emergency I would run no matter what the weather or type of terrain so just get it done πŸ˜ƒ. Now to work on my leg strength and pace. I'm a long way off of 5k but I'm close to graduation so let's see what week 8 brings. πŸ‘

Great points you make about mindset πŸ‘

Excellent way to vary your runs as you get near the end of the plan. Little & often tends to shrink these obstacles down to a manageable size. πŸ‘πŸΌπŸŽ‰
