You can do it

I'm an extremely unfit, 5 stone overweight, 45 year old type 2 diabetic woman who hasn't run for 30 years. I didn't even manage all 8 of the 60 second runs on week 1 run 1, this week I started week 5, the first 5 minutes were gruelling, but by the 3rd 5minutes I felt I could keep going....... And I did, managing 13.5 minutes in one go. I keep telling people if I can do it, anyone can!!! Looking at the weeks ahead can be daunting but the programme works😁

Hi there MrsJWB...well done you. I was, overweight pre diabetic person that started this wonderful life changing challenge in February. Have lost now 2 stone to date and blood pressure down ALOT... I am hoping the blood test next month shows a drop in my risk score too. I am guessing you will also see a massive improvement in your health and maybe get your diabetic numbers down also. It is a challenge and yes it does seem like you will never be able to complete the next week but this works and you will :-)

Well done. Keep going its definately worth it. It may seem daunting but look at the positives it can bring. U managed 13.5 mins of running today what can u achieve next. Good luck and remember why ur doing this and if u feel u cant keep trying u will get there.

I've just been out and done week 5 Run 2, did the 8 minute run ok followed by the 5 minute walk. For the 2nd 8 minutes I thought I'd just see how long I could comfortably go for and I managed 20 minutes, I honestly didn't think this was possible - this was a massive morale boost 😁

As a 63 year old , type 2 diabetic, was 4 stone overweight, hadn’t run for 40 years, I can only say Keep Going!!! It’s tough but the rewards are well worth it. Keep posting- we’ll be reading.
