I didn't think I could do it either but I can. Trust in the programme and believe in yourself and you will

I felt exactly the same 9 weeks ago. I graduated yesterday. I still can't do a full 5k in the 30 minutes but i can keep going now. I look back to the first week and it seemed impossible to be able to tun for 30 minutes non stop, but it isn't. Trust the program!

Keep going! I found it was a great help to document every run. I really was only doing it so i could like back on my progress but the support i got from the people on this forum after each post was invaluable and they really kept me motivated. I think i would have given up on my own.

Forget 5K..just get to the 30 minute runs safely and having had a lot of fun...that is all it needs..Slow and steady and take each run as it comes...trust the plan..believe in yourself and know we will be right here with you!

Baby steps :) I’ve just finished my week 2 and it gets progressively easier with each run. The beauty of this programme is there’s no pressure.. if you find you’re struggling with a week just do it again before moving on to the next week. Just take it at your pace and the important thing is you’re trying :) you’re up off that couch and out in the fresh air :)

I’m on week 5 run 3 and I feel like I want to give up. I’m only running 2x5 min runs! This run is 20mins!! Help!

Yes, you can do it. Almost everyone here has/had those doubts and has gone on to surprise themselves. The course is brilliantly constructed and if you follow it you can’t really go wrong.

Well done! When I started, I thought I was going to die after running for 60 seconds! Tomorrow, I start week 9, which is three 30 minute runs! You can do it too! 😀

Positive attitude will get you through it easily. Don’t ever say you can’t do it. You can. We were all couch potatoes at one time. Just get to the front door and stick to the plan. Be positive about every run and you will sail through it.

Yes!

That’s my short answer anyway. Why can’t you do it! Sure... when any of us are on week 2 then both 30 minutes and 5k are absolutely impossible, but all you got to do is keep coming to the start lines and trying. Do that and what’s impossible moves further ahead of where we are running. You can do this... you’ll run all of that parkrun pretty soon. Enjoy your journey
