Re gait analysis
Was going to get a gait analysis to celebrate the runiversary of me graduating from C25K in June but I am now wondering if I should.??? 😁🤣😢😂
Your choice...but this makes interesting reading as you know...
There is always a range of views on this, and any other topic. The article does make some sense, but I think that the benefit of going to an independent running shop that offers gait analysis, and having a discussion with the assistant about your running is the best way to get a first pair of running shoes. There are 1000's of different running shoes and talking with someone knowledgeable about them has to be advantageous.
Seems to be a popular topic.
All I can say is without it, I managed to get the wrong trainers, (Asics) although they were so comfortable , they didn't do me any favours and 10 weeks later I couldn't even walk in them.
Off to sports physio, out of action for 6 weeks, gait analysis done by sports physio, with the excellent cooperation of local running shop.
There will always be opposite sides of the fence. 😊
I have a lovely pair of asics for casual... but I couldn't possibly run in them! Look good though 👍😉
I know it’s ridiculous, but I’m reluctant to try using them for even walking I case my knee rebels, they just sit there, looking turquoise, orange and gorgeous 😐
Oooooo what size? We really should have a shoe swap thread you know. Or gear in general. I have a brand new pair of trail shoes no good to me now too! Ridiculous really! 🤣
