Well, I got there. I just completed Week 9/Run 3.

Even when it was horrible, and some days it was, it felt like I was doing something worthwhile. The fact is that this plan really works.

I only discovered this forum last week, but, like The Goddess Laura, it has been very inspiring – so I hope to stick around for a while. Thanks to all the kind people who post such encouraging things and offer so much support.

Now I need to find some way to celebrate that’s not too unhealthy. Any suggestions?!

The next goal is a Parkrun. And just to keep at the 30-min runs for a few weeks before hopefully then starting to build up stamina using the 10% rule.

Thanks again to everyone who makes this great community so vibrant and special.

Congratulations. It’s a great feeling when you graduate (mine was on Sat). You’ll love Parkrun, they are so inspiring when you see all the different abilities out there giving it their best. I started doing them on NY day, mostly walking with short bursts of jogging, working up each week until Saturday when I managed to slow jog the whole way. It’s amazing what difference a few months and C25K can make. Good luck going forward 👍🏼

Congratulations Graduate! Well done indeed..

Consolidation now... lots of short runs, 30 minute runs, new routes and some lovely long see where you get to, runs..

Just relax and bask in the glory...my choice for celebrating, was bubbly.but that is just me. a new running top maybe:) Very healthy choice:)

Check out the What Next post..but do take some runs for pure joy, just because you can, they are a terrific start!

Huge congratulations!! 🙌🏻🍾🙌🏻 we have graduated in the same weekend! It feels great, doesn’t it? I can recommend a diet bitter shandy as a celebratory tipple - no hangover is a big bonus!!! 😬😂😬 x

Hey congratulations...great achievement...go get your shiny badge. To celebrate maybe buy yourself something running related? I want a foam roller next.

Stephen_UK profile image
Stephen_UKGraduate in reply to Franglaise

Thanks a lot. What’s a foam roller?!

Franglaise profile image
FranglaiseGraduate

Its a cylinder shaped roller you roll on that gives you a deep tissue massage...bit brutal at the time but feels amazing after and aids recovery...they have them in decathlon in soft medium or firm...amazing

Ah, yes. I did some pilates a while back and used something like this. But it was more for balancing and building core strength. Or maybe it was a different thing?

Possibly...enjoy your celebration whatever you decide on and happy running for fun
