Parkrun done!

I’m on week 8 run 1 but accidentally ran a bit longer last and realised I had run over 5km so joined the local Parkrun in Tonbridge this morning. So friendly and encouraging. I met another lady whose first time it was too so we ran together. I loved it. I came 558th and I’m so proud! I was 6th in my age group. I would encourage anyone to give it a go.

Fabulous, well done you! Can I ask, is the Tonbridge route pretty flat? I want to do Parkrun soon but my local one at Bedgebury Pinetum is pretty hilly and I might prefer a flatter route for my first ever Parkrun!

Hi Debston. Sorry I’ve just seen your message. Yes the Tonbridge Parkrun is lovely and flat. Do try!

That is really encouraging. I have signed up for a #ww5kmyway in Jun, and I am hoping to join the Tonbridge Park run. I will be in week 8 and I am hoping to be able to run all the way but no big deal if I cannot. Glad to hear everyone is friendly 😊
