I did my 3rd run of week 6 last night. I was dreading this and usually the first few minutes of running I’m mentally struggling to not quit.
But I kept going and after I got to 14 minutes of running I sort of felt like I could do it. With each step I gave myself a pep talk and pushed through. Feels good to sweat and know I’m taking care of my body!
Both my knees have torn miniscus. And I’m waiting for insurance to approve a double knee surgery in July. But yet, I’m continuing on this weight loss plan through the couch 2 5k. I have never been a runner but now instead of dreading what’s next , I actually think week 7 is possible.
My pace is really slow but I’m ok with that because I’m not wanting to get injured. I was stuck on week 1 for 2 months before I moved forward. Yeah that’s terrible ! But here I am at week 7 almost and I got terrible knees! I have started to use knee compression sleeves which have helped immensely !!!
