Every day starts and I feel positive, I tell myself I will do my next run. I tell myself I will do it after breakfast, after lunch, after dinner! Perhaps an early evening run! What about a late run that might be fun! A pesky little voice in my head keeps saying ‘There is always tomorrow’ I need to squash that pesky little voice and put it in its place!! Week 2 Run 2 I’m coming for you today
I must stop thinking about it and just do it! - Couch to 5K
I must stop thinking about it and just do it!
Do it
I only graduated last week and I always do my runs first thing in the morning. Love spending the day knowing I went for a run and am making progress. Also, if ever I felt iffy about going out, I would always come on here, see the amazing, inspirational little posts from others and that would be it. Running stuff on and off I would go. You can do this. It is so worth the feeling of achievement!
Do it now! You will be amazed how great you feel afterwards- you got this! 😁
Just had some blueberries and a cup of tea! Pesky voice is still there, it’s amazing how easy it is to talk yourself out of something but I’m listening to everyone else and not myself. I have my running stuff ready and I am going out very soon 😊
Do it! For first thing I’d recommend water and half a banana, eat the other half when you get back
I would have quit before I started without this group 💕
You can do it! We all get that nagging voice in our heads! Try your best to ignore it and go for it! You’ll feel so much better afterwards x
I've found if I put my running clothes straight on in a morning it puts me in the right mindset...and not sitting down after breakfast!
You will soon be addicted to the journey!! Get out there!!
Well done, Gimliwoo - we all sometimes have to force ourselves to get out. Now you have done it, pick a day for your next run and, if possible, do it first thing in the morning. That way it's done, not looming at you throughout the day, getting more and more anxiety - inducing!
Morning runs do seem easier 😊 I might have to do run 3 tomorrow as I’m working long hours on Monday! if only there were more hours in a day!
Don't want to sound like a fusspot but in that case I would take 2 rest days and wait until Tuesday to run again. You have to let your muscles recover, don't want to injure yourself and end up having to have a forced break on the Injury Couch!
Think how great you will feel after you have done it. All the rewards come after. Don't wait for motivation or inspiration. Discipline is what you need. Ignore that voice - you won't regret it.
At the minute, I find that doing the run first thing when I get up is working for me, that way I cant think of excuses not to do it and I feel good the rest of the day😇 knowing its done
well done for keeping going 👍😊
