ABBAsolutely fantastic!! W7 ticked off πŸ˜†

β€’18 Replies

Inspired by Oldfloss's love of an ABBA playlist to accompany her runs, today I did the same to get me to the end of week 7.

Week 7 has been a struggle and taken me longer to complete than at first thought, but my new plan of run - rest - cross-train - rest - run - rest, seems to be doing the trick and today I had another comfy run. I now have confidence this is going to see me through to graduation. I'm back in a happy place! 😊

ABBA are going nowhere either! Sticking with them now through to the end!!

Yeayyyy.

You faced your Waterloo and won that battle.. absolutely brilliant!!

Just relax into the long runs now..start slow..stay slow..let the newly forming running legs, find their happy pace.

Well done You!!

Well done and congrats Delly-dot! :)

I'm glad Oldfloss's ABBA has helped to keep you running and wish you all the best for your remaining two weeks until you graduate :)

That does sound like a good plan, I've recently built in some strength/ flex/ aerobic exercises and they're helping mentally as well as physically.

As Oldfloss is watching I have to remind you to take it slow and steady ;) You said it took you longer than expected, but it doesn't matter how long it takes!

Thank you ☺️- it's okay, I'm running slowly and steadily. I meant that Week 7 has taken me longer to complete than expected, as I have more days between my runs now, so it takes me longer to complete the C25K 'week'.

Yeah I thought that might have been what you meant :) Well as long as you're filling the inbetween days with rest or crosstraining, it can only get you stronger and more able to do whatever comes after C25K :)

It's great to see you progress through the programme, I'm looking forward to see how you find the next couple of weeks. Obviously you're a runner now so it's shouldn't faze you :)

Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to check in with me. I'm looking forward to runs now, which is a much better place to be! 😊

It is lovely to be looking forward to running isn't it, gives me a real feeling of health and fitness and is a great bit of motivation if gremlins try to get you from anywhere. I'm finding it quite hard not to get my running shoes on and get out there on rest days! I've got a 30 minute run tomorrow I practically can't wait for :D

ABBA would make me run off a cliff or throw myself under a bus 😑

Glad to hear that your new plan is suiting you betterπŸ˜ŠπŸƒπŸΎβ€β™€οΈπŸ‘

Well done for getting back on track. Good music certainly does help the time go by.

Certainly does! I was singing away (in my head obviously and to the relief of anyone nearby) and it made for a happy run πŸ˜ŠπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

I've been struggling with my music choice. But. Abba? Never thought of that! Going to try it but I always want to singalong!

β€’ in reply toOddity

Oh I sang along! In my head, I have to admit, but it definitely put a spring in my step!
