So today I decided even though it was a rest day,I would do the stepping stone podcast and with my own music after the routine on my treadmill ( I have already run 3 times this week with a total of 13k outside).
So my question being which is more accurate my treadmill or my Fitbit?I do seem to fair better running outside with my Fitbit to keep a track of my km's
Anyhoo! I'm not too bothered as I much prefer outside running
Big day Sunday 5 k run so looking forward to that.
Tomorrow will be my last run before Sunday (working Saturday ) so I will run listening to some great music (Abba ! Abba! All the way ! hey don't mock there's good beats to run to in their songs ) and just completely enjoy it all !
Thanks TJEL for your reply. Yes it is so much fun ! ,and each day is different. I live in the sticks so whilst listening to my music if I have enough breaths I find myself serenading the cows and sheep etc!
Ooh I bet they love that! I am only a beginner and will be doing my w1 r3 tomorrow morning. I do my run when I take Toby out for a 'walk' at 5.30 am. I run at our local park so it's on grass and it's also deserted at that time in the morning, probably better as I'd frighten anyone who might see me running - or trying to π. Really want to achieve this, never ran before
Good for you! Keep at it as you will get there, and just remember we have all been there. Listen to Laura and just remember nice and steady.ππ
I think the treadmill will be more accurate as the Fitbit estimates distance based on average stride length. The difference might be because you have a shorter than average stride on the treadmill.
You can set stride length in the Fitbit settings somewhere if you want.
Thank you droogie. I shall adjust my settings on my Fitbit and see if that will give me a more accurate reading. Oh and thanks for Abba support ha !ππ
