Just done my first run and it was alot harder than I thought it would be! I'll be doing it 3 times a week and gym in between. Is anyone else doing the same thing?

Hey, the most important thing I learnt during the first few weeks of C25K is pace! I started way too fast and the first few runs were tough because of this. I had to slow it right down and my body quickly adapted. I'm now doing 28 minute runs (week 8.)
Well done on starting the program!

Please do check out this post for Newbies and welcome...
Rest assured, many folk feel it hard going at the beginning...
The mantra is slow and steady... simply because it works... the time for speed comes later
Rest days are non negotiable... one at least between runs and more if needed. Take care when the weather gets warmer too.

Your non impact exercise as the runs get longer ( on some of your rest days) becomes increasing important too.. for core strength and stamina...but, do take some rest too
Keep posting.. and enjoy!
