I’ve been driving all day and decided I got straight into a run once I got home.
3pm and it was blazing sun. I got half way through the run and just knew I wasn’t going to be able to finish. I wasn’t even sweating, my mouth was as dry as anything and I could feel some serious stitches on the way. So I called it safe and quit at 20 minutes and walked off the rest.
Lesson learned: go running first thing like I normally do!
Although I would like advice if anyone reads this far - what kind of professional do I need to speak to if I feel my feet / legs are misaligned. Im noticing that my right knee seems to be off centre to the way my foot falls and I suspect is is the reason my right leg aches quite as much as it does all the time.
THANK YOU! X

It is very warm today. It’s not a fail however, you ran for 20 minutes; result!
Sounds like a sports Physio is the person you need.
Running at different times is good as your body doesnt become accustomed to a particular routine. And 20mins iof blazing sun is far more challenging than 28mins in cool breeze. So edit the title and say "Duel with the sun" 😋
About the feet alignment thing, the technical term for doctor is podiatrist. See if you can find a certified professional near you.
You never “fail” if you get out the door in running kit! It’s a learning experience and you learned. All good. 👍👏🏼
I already had a chiropractor that I knew & knew me, so I go to her for straightening, tight muscles and strains. My Running Daughter uses a sports physio for her occasional niggles and for a monthly sports massage but says she’s excellent also for alignment. I think a lot depends on the individual. Ask around, especially if you can find known runners to ask locally. 😊 Good luck.
Thank you so so much everyone. I had an ‘Anatomy in Motion’ assessment today. He discovered i actually have an old injury in my hip that I have been over compensating for for years - explaining why I have so many aches in my muscles! It might even explain my migraines too! 😱😱😱
