This run just wasn’t going to happen. I got to the halfway mark and it felt like I should have done three quarters. I felt stiff and so tired and had to stop to walk a little way. I started to jog again but just couldn’t carry on. I’ve never had to stop before. I’m going to try again after a rest day. I wouldn’t mind but I’d had TWO rest days one of which was literally a sofa slouch day due to the weather.
Ho hum.

aww bad luck Archieandme, you just had a bad day, dont get disheartened, we all have them, the days when it just doesnt work for one reason or another. Take your rest day and forget about it. New day new run take care😊👍
No f words allowed.. practice. blip, or dress rehearsal...Maybe you are under par.. a little bug.. or tiredness... . Have you upped your stamina and strength exercises on some of your rest days? As the runs get longer, you do need to have the rest of your body keep up with your legs..?
Hey, you went out and had a run! That’s a result. You did the wisest thing and reacted to the demand of your body and walked when needed. Wish I was as wise. Enjoy some rest days and then I’m sure your next run will feel better.
No such word as failure - treat it as an “extra” - I’ve been a graduate now for 7 months and only last week I had to grab a couple of “breathers” during my 5km run - reflected that I probably hadn’t drunk enough before the run and I wasn’t really in the mood for so the head gremlins were muttering. Next run was better ....so chin up, trainers on and go out and enjoy yourself!
