A Q for ladies - Shark Week

So mother nature has arrived this morning with a hell of a lot of pain including back pain and horrible tummy crampsšŸ˜©. I usually try and power through but this month is hell. So i was wondering, what do ladies do when Mother Nature visits. Do you power through or give your body a rest? Iā€™m supposed to do a run today but Iā€™m feeling wrecked. I may try and tackle it tonight but Iā€™ll see. Just curious what others do really šŸ˜Š

Ah aunt urma is mean old witch sometimes eh?! If you feel wrecked then I would say rest. Maybe go for a walk instead? That way you can test out how you feel about a run? Listen to yourself.

Yeah thatā€™s a good shout actually. I may just walk instead. Itā€™s usually not this bad but itā€™s day one so itā€™s being a bit brutal šŸ˜©

Yes I'd recommend the walk! You won't lose any fitness by giving yourself a day or two to get over the effects, but everyone says that exercise helps with the cramps etc so a walk might be just what you need. You can always do the run tomorrow or Thursday and it would be much nicer to run without pain before you even begin. I'm probably a bit of a wimp though. :)

Itā€™s hard to say really because only you know how you feel. I tend to take some paracetamol an hour or so before then ā€œget myself changedā€ and go out. It does actually ease all the pain for me. But you know your body and symptoms best.

I push through it, I find the exercise helps - if I were you I would start my run slowly (truth be told I do all my runs slowly ;) ) and see how it goes, you may be surprised at how it helps.
