Have not enjoyed w7 as much as I'd like to have, doing a difficult 5k last monday and running for 37 minutes seems to have done me in a bit. Too much too soon I think? Ive since been told I couldn't of picked a more difficult one to do for my 1st one! So makes me feel bit better that it knackered me so much Haha. BUT finished w7 tonight. Hoping it was just a "bad week" onwards and upwards.
W7 - longest week ever: Have not enjoyed w7 as... - Couch to 5K
W7 - longest week ever
Do not give up! You can do it! You’re so close to graduating now 😊 I’ve got one more run to do of wk6 and I’m losing my motivation a bit 😌 but I know if I give up now I will be so frustrated with myself! X
I know, I wont give up .... ive come too far. We can do it! Its a massive mental game too isnt it. Well done to you too. I've just found it hard this week to feel as excited(?) About climbing the c25k ladder. But I think I've just been really tired this week.

If you're on week 7 why run for 37 mins? And 5k is not a requirement. Enjoy the runs, slow and steady!
Because it was a charity event that i had signed up for a couple of months ago, so I started the programme to help me with the 5k.
It sounds like you have over-trained this week on top of your run last weekend. This can affect how you feel both mentally as well as physically without you realising it. Take some extra days rest and go slow and steady on your next run. You will soon get your mo-jo back.
Thankyou 👍
Did you actually run the entire 5K in 37 minutes? If so congratulations, that's great, but obviously that's a big jump. Take a rest if you need it, and take these 28 min runs nice and steady. You already know you can do it. 🏃♀️
Yes, I did, i think I pushed myself a little too hard tho, but i was proud that I had done it without stopping. I'm definitely going to try and relax into wk8. Thankyou 👍

Slow and steady progress is the only sustainable way.
Throwing in a 37 minute run when you should be sticking to 25 minutes is not wise, but you will survive.
Take it easy.
It wasnt so much the time, I just really didnt want to stop ha! But will be finishing off the programme now until doing any other 5k 👍

That 37 minutes is almost certainly to blame... but we live and learn... nice steady runs now to that podium... while you’re consolidating read up on the 10% rule for adding distance/endurance. It’s great that you ran 5k... but that also means there’s nothing to prove now. You can go on from this to any distance... just keep in mind how tough this week became and avoid making it happen again. Enjoy closing this plan out... you’ve done a great job.
I started c25k because I'd signed up to do the 5k, I just happened to be 3 weeks too late starting c25k. I'm not in a rush to do another 5, but when I do, I think I'll be ready for it after finishing the programme. 👍
