Week 9, Run 1

So pleased it's in the bag, really lovely morning for a run in the woods. Went off my usual route as I knew I needed to add some distance to fill up the extra 2 minutes. Felt a bit lost but then found a cool downhill route to meet up with a path I know well so it all worked out nicely. My longest run yet in time and distance. Feels great to have done it!

Thanks, Jod13. It was beautifully peaceful except for the sound of a red-faced runner heavy breathing as I sprinted the last 60 seconds! 😂 Probably scared the wildlife.

Hahahah there’s probably a David Attenborough type trying to find out what this new breed of human is at this very moment!!

Well done you and yes isn't it a beautiful day for a run 😊

Thanks Buddy34! Yes, it's perfect running weather, if it stays like this all summer I will be very happy. Don't want any heatwaves throwing my runs off!

Well done to you Debston, looks a lovely place to run, onwards and upwards to run 2 of week 9, then run three, your graduation run. 🏃

Thanks, AlMorr - yes I am very lucky to have this woodland just up the road. It's a bit muddy at the moment after the recent rains but not toooo squelchy today!

Love running in the woods, 🌲🏃‍♂️🌲... that looks amazing, such a beautiful day for it. 30 mins Debs!

I feel like running week 1 again, just to appreciate what we've achieved.

Nice one Debston, all the best on your next run - did you look into getting your gait checked?

Debston profile image
DebstonGraduate in reply to Astra5

Thanks Astra! No, I haven't done anything about gait analysis yet but mentally it's on my to do list! As I am on Week 9 now, maybe that should be my graduation present to myself...

That was my excuse too haha - only had 3 runs so far in new shoes & inserts. Must admit my feet are not an issue and after the run all AOK
