Apps to record running

Hi Just wondered which apps are the best for recording your runs on? The map/pace/time etc. Would prefer for app to be FREE (obviously!)

Also do they work with the c25k app and Spotify which are running ant the same time.

I've been using map my run at the same time as spotify and the NHS couch to 5k app. Works fine for me but might depend on device - I have an older OnePlus 2 phone I use when running.

Recently got a Huawei P20 Pro, but c25k app crashes regularly. I'm on week 7 now so interval runs are over, may ditch the c25k app now!

I have never put my new Smartphone to that test, have Spotify for the music, the C25K app with Laura AND Mapmyrun all going simultaneously, two at once but never three.

Welcome to the forum.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and mentions several tracking apps that will work with the C25K app.

Enjoy your journey

I use Runtastic, I’ve also heard of Map My Run and Strava.

I use runkeeper (free version). It records your route, distance, time, splits, etc. I run c25k and a podcast at the same time and they all work fine.

Not sure which app to use I ran 3 simultaneously during a run Strava, Mapmyrun and runkeeper. This allowed me to compare outputs. They are all slightly different so it's down to personal choice.

I've never had an issue running multiple apps on my Samsung c25k, runkeeper and radio 2/audio books are my normal ones.

Have fun 💪🏃‍♂️
