So tonight I did W5R3 which Iโve been looking forward to all week! As if that 20 minute run wasnโt challenge enough I also decided to go out in the rain which I have not done before now.
Iโm over the half way point! This is getting emotional!
Thanks all that posted about the running in the rain, great tips!

Well done! Itโs such an achievement! I have just completed W5R1 and I am so nervous about run three. I am sure I will be so pleased when I complete it (I keep wanting to say if I complete it). Was it okay or was it really tough?
It was really enjoyable actually. I slowed down when I needed to and the 5 minute countdowns just flew by! You will be very surprised how much conditioning youโve already done to be able to run nonstop for 20 mins. As I approached the end I still had some juice left in the tank! Good luck and keep us posted xx
Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, yes it does make some people emotional, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs ๐
Hey there! Iโve already had a look ahead at the schedule, Iโm looking forward to walking breaks again so Iโll be paying extra attention! And itโs the last week for intervals so itโs really getting serious now too ๐
Did your app play the correct audio? Mine didn't, and I wondered if it was just a problem with the Sarah audio, and I see you have your app set to Sarah as well, so figured I'd ask.
Hey Sarigne, I changed my PT to Jo Whiley just for this run. She is also very good and friendly. I played all the PT intros for this run and decided Joโs was close to Sarahโs style, the others sounded rather robotic! I thought the change In PT would throw me off course, but it was fine, I made a good alternative choice. Iโve switched back to Sarah now for my next run ๐โโ๏ธ
Glad you mentioned that ! Week 5 Run 3 had Sarah Millican telling me it was 3 minute runs with 90 seconds walking but the Run as it appears on the App was 20 minutes. So I ignored Sarah and used my eyes rather than my ears. Checked later on the podcast which is the same as the App so it looks like the audio with SM is the wrong audio for the run
Exactly, this has been identified as a problem with the mobile app for a number of weeks now but sadly no one has bothered to fix it. Itโs also not easy to report problems with the mobile app, itโs not obvious who to reach out to, so I put something on the review page hoping they would fix it in time. Anyway I found a way around it by using a different PT and Jo Whiley was a great stand in for W5R3.
Well done. I did w6r1 yday. The 5 minute runs were a breeze the 8 minute run was hard work but the good thing.about the 8 min run is that the halfway bell is in that so I thought of it as two 4 minute runs
Hi Stevieplink, Iโm doing W6R1 on Sunday and I am looking forward to the intervals again as this will be the last week with intervals ๐. Are you looking forward to the last run in W6, itโs 25 mins xx
Thank you! It was pretty good, just like how everyone said it would be, nothing to fear. Good luck for your run tomorrow, do report back and itโs a game changer once done... you really can run! ๐โค๏ธ
