I have been preparing for a 10k event over the past 6 weeks, building up the distance gradually (thanks to Ju-ju's 10k plan ๐). I have mostly been running along a flat track by the railway line (see previous post for pic) but had promised myself that I must have a run with a few hills at least once a week. So today Squiggy (the spaniel) and me headed out onto the Quantocks. It was a bit windy and some of the tracks rather rough with loose stones so I took it carefully. Squiggy, on the other hand, wanted to go, go,go!! The word 'steady' was used rather a lot but didn't have much effect! Despite the cool wind I soon became rather hot - note to self: long leggings not required down South in May! (we used to live in NW Scotland ๐). I have already run an 8k and 6k this week so today's run was a short one of 4K, but the hills made it a good work out and we were both panting and puffing ๐๐พ.
