Week 1 Run 2

Didn’t want to go today, thought I’d got away with the first run on Sunday, however the after effects were delayed until this afternoon when my thighs became really painful with tight muscles so I was dreading tonight’s run. However, I have survived, the run felt better and now I feel like my muscles have loosened up again. Any suggestions on how to avoid the muscle pain in future?? I do the full warm up and cool down, make sure I stretch and stay hydrated, is this just something that will pass? So glad I made myself go despite not feeling the love for it, certainly feeling a sense of achievement. Baby steps but keep moving forwards.

As my former driving instructor used to say, “When in doubt, slow down !” You’re asking a lot of your body, so take it easy on yourself. Relax and enjoy your journey x
