I've done it!! My first 20 minute run and it feels great!!
I had a moment of panic when the lovely voice of Sarah Millican decided to start me off at Week 3 (this seems to be a recurring problem for the app at the mo), but I switched to the dulcet tones of Michael Johnson and I was off.
I got a fist-bump from my 15 year old son and a big hug from my 17 year old daughter (who didn't seem to mind her sweaty mother!!) when I arrived home grinning from ear to ear.
I am going to be in such a good mood for the rest of the day!!
Those of you coming up to W5R3 - YOU CAN DO IT!! Steady and slow is the way to go.
So brilliant Delly-dot - really well done! You really seem to have caught the running bug! Twenty minutes!!! It is an amazing moment!! And so you should grin all day long!
Thank you DR!! You got me going with the slow jogging and it's been the way ahead for me, so a big big thank you for that tip. Being a Cheshire girl at heart, I am most definitely grinning like a Cheshire Cat right now.
Congratulations on running run 3 of week 5, glad you enjoyed your run today and feel great, run 3 of week 5 is a milestone run with C25K. Onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks πΆ and runs π
Well done ππββοΈthat's fantastic π, I'm wishing I wasn't at work today so I could go out!

Thank you! I feel great!
It was definitely the right idea to go out first thing, as the happy mood is going to stay with me all day π.
Having tried runs in the morning, afternoon and early evening, I've come to the conclusion that I am definitely 'a morning person', that way the gremlins have no chance if I can get out and leave them still in bed!
Did 25mins yesterday run 3 of week 6. Week 6 started of real hard for me and after the 20 min run in week 5 you really under estimate the 1st run in week 6 but the feeling you get after finishing the first run in week 6 really does set you up for the extra 5 mins on the 3rd run x
Good to know whatβs coming up, thank you. You are doing brilliantly!! Next week for you is week7!! Yay π
It should be tomorrow morning but I'm thinking that as much as I love going early maybe I should start to go on an evening, I don't sleep well and struggle to get out of bed think I'm making myself worse with my motivation as I beat myself up when I don't do it, it's not so bad if I'm off work I think it's just when I'm at work I struggle. And I can only go when there is someone there for my son or he's at school xx

I tried a few different times and think generally mornings work best for me. I work from home, so itβs easier for me to plan it into my day.
Good luck with your run π xx
Oh I wish I did lol thank you will post later once its done π
This C25K has me in its spell. Iβm in awe of how it has succeeded in getting me running (joffling) for 20 whole minutes in just 5 weeks. Iβm also surprised how much Iβm enjoying it. Now nobody saw that coming, most of all me!
Did week8 run 1 this morning and it certainly set me up for the day. I run better in the mornings as well. Still canβt believe I can run for 28 minutes without thinking I am going to die. Good luck with your next runs. π
It gets addictive! It took me a long time to think of myself as a runner lol! Even after running a half marathon I still found it strange! It is so the opposite of who I used to be but I love it. I have to run now - it keeps my moods in check and that natural high stays! I'm now training for a marathon 1year after graduating 0to5k so who knows where you will be next year! Enjoy it though. It is the magic of what our body can acheive that I love the most about running. Nothing is impossible!
Wow! to go from C25K to marathon training in a year from graduating is fantastic. You must have been putting a lot of hours and miles in! Good luck with the training.
I had Laura from the start, then Sarah for Week 5 - I can't believe she dumped me this morning for the big run!! I haven't forgiven her yet!! Good old Michael Johnson stepped in and saved the day. Can't decide who I'll go with next week....π€
Well done Delly-dot. Congratulations. You have every right to have a big smile on your face. Great that your kids are proud of you too π. We are literally a day apart. Iβm due to do W6R1 tomorrow. We are runners!!! Who would have thought!
Chuffed for you, wait until you do 25 mins it was brilliant and want to do it again tomorrow but it'll be Thursday when I do my next run. The more I run the more I want to which is weird since I thought of it as a chore. I just need to find a new route since I'm starting to run further.
Hellooo! Glad you are getting such a buzz from the running. Half the fun is thinking up new routes. Well done on completing W6. You are doing brilliantly! π
