W8R3 complete and a new PB! 😆

Feeling sooooooo over the moon!! My C25K journey has been a bit staggered due to various injuries/accidents/illnesses, I think I’ve completed W6 about 15 times on repeat in a bit of a rut!

I finally cracked on and have now finished W8R3 having fun consecutively for 3 weeks.

I’ve always felt a bit disheartened as I consider my pace quite slow (was averaging 7:37/8mins per km) and comparing it to my other running friends on Strava who were doing 5min/km I felt silly. They were doing 10k+ runs easily and I was proud for reaching 3.5! But I keep reminding myself not to compare to others and the fact I’m getting out is the most important thing.

Anyway, fast forward to today and I’ve set a new PB with time and distance!! To put this weeks progress in perspective:

W8R1 was 3.7k with a pace of 7.35

W8R2 was 4.05k with a pace of 7.06

W8R3 was 4.25k with a pace of 6.38!!!

I’m so astonished by how much this programme is pushing me and making such big changes in a small amount of time. This time last year I couldn’t even run 10 mins without keeling over!! It’s taken a while to see results but I really believe in myself now.

Excited to graduate next week!! Think it’s safe to say I’m a runner!! 🏃🏼‍♀️

Well done you and try not to compare yourself to other people when running everyone is different. Good luck with wk9😊
