So today had to drop the van off to the garage. Which is just under 3miles away from my folks, so I thought I'd run back.
So commented the 30mins, as I've started tracking my runs I haven't made the 5k yet, but the fact I can run for half hour is nuts. A proper buzz that.
I've been running around where I grew up recently, back in Essex recording my next album. Going round these streets are bringing back a lot of childhood memories...
I can't believe that I'm on the last week of this. The fact I've stuck to it, the fact I've really enjoyed it, and I can feel the benefits of it all, in my head and my body.
So what do you do when you get to the end of this? I think I'm gonna keep with the week 9 runs till I hit the 5k. That sound like a good plan?
Anyway, have a good weekend
Cheers

Great job. It’s madness this doing the impossible malarkey!
It’s recommended to consolidate until 30 minutes is easy... then extending one run a little is the easiest way to get to 5k. Once there there’s a great 10k plan on this server!
Ah that run is the proper start to this I found. :). Good luck
That’s what my plan is Doozer 🏃♀️ I made the mistake of checking my distance and was disappointed ☹️So with advice and encouragement from the forum guys I’m sticking with 30mins for now and just enjoying it. Congrats you’re doing great 👍 x
Yeah - I'm trying to just stick with 30 min runs (not managing 3 per week - I need at least 2 or 3 rest days). Am following the local Park run course but as yet haven't got to the end but hoping to get further each time. But actually being able to keep going for 30 mins is incredible.
Well done on your 30 min run Doozer...you are almost at the podium now!
Its great that you are really enjoying your running, this program is brilliant isn't it. You will get to 5k, and beyond if you want to. By continuing with your 30 mins runs you will be getting stronger and will find you are able to increase your distance by small increments.
Well done Dooze, I did exactly the same myself yesterday. My car was in for a service and the garage is just under 3 miles. Before I did C25K I'd have got a taxi, this time I ran home. Walked back later for the pick-up. Once you graduate you can do whatever you like, that's the fun of it. You can aim for longer runs, go back to short runs if you don't have much time or just stick with 30 minutes regardless of distance. I aim to run for so many minutes, don't really care whether it's 5K or not 🤷
Very well thank you Dooze, really enjoying Ju-Ju’s 10K plan, we’ve got an 8K run this week which I’m looking forward to... just seems mad that I’m going to be doing almost 5 miles now... and only started this at the end of August... Madness! Have a good weekend bud 😀
Fantastic. That’s amazing. I’ve fallen off the program after a nasty virus and I need to get back to it soon. I feel I’ve gone way back and lost a lot of fitness. Just got to keep on going! x
Thanks Milllly, someone told me on here it takes 2 weeks to lose fitness... Just start at the begining again. The bit I like about this it isn't a race, just about building your fitness up.
Well done you! You are hooked. Keep it up. Get that 5K- great feeling- and then just enjoy being a runner for a while. Then who knows. I started couch to 5K in Feb and ended up doing a half marathon in October. Never would have believed it. 👍🏼
