W8R3 surprisingly tough!

Can’t lie - runs 2 and 3 in week 8 have been tough for me. “Slow down, slow down some more” meant I did them but boy, I reckon I walk faster! Maybe I came off week 7 a bit over confident (cocky?). Here’s hoping for a dash to the finish in week 9.

Well done.. but maybe don't dash...just cruise gracefully, and gently, towards that podium.. these longer runs are perfect for relaxing into. Let the newly forming running legs find their happy pace... plenty of time for speed after Graduation:)

Great job. If you could walk faster then that’s a wonderful low running gear to find, it’s never a negative thing. Enjoy week 9, it is your victory lap... dashing is optional, personally I just enjoyed myself and let it sink in that I could do anything now.

It’s true ! I found week 8 hard ! ..but also I had a power walker pass my running up hill yesterday ..but I think it’s still better to keep “running” whatever speed

Slow running is still running & as long as both feet are off the ground for a nano second - it’s running & has a very different effect on the body to walking. So it still counts! You’re also still adapting to the one long run. Your body is currently building you muscle, more bone cells, extra blood capillaries, doing amazing things on a cellular level - all to make you a stronger runner, it will get easier, and completely fine to do this slowly while you build all that strength.
