Gave up on C25K last year as really struggled with back pain as I have bulging discs in my lower spine. However, gradually getting back to it after building up my core through Pilates. So now onto week three but I am now suffering from a burning type of pain just in one leg in the thigh area. It then seems to radiate down and around to the back of my calf. It feels similar to sciatica but it is mainly in the thigh area. It is there continually not just when I move. I have left five days between runs to rest it but as soon as I have gone out tonight it has started again.
I had my gait checked a couple of years ago and I am wearing the trainers I was fitted with then. Any advice would be appreciated. I am doing the stretching etc but getting frustrated with the pain!

We always say if in doubt check it out, have a little word with your GP. The other thing to do is check the treads of your trainers. 5 years is a long time in trainer years. Turn them upside down and see if there is and wear. They work similar to tyres you can see where you land and if they have completely worn down it might be time for new ones. I get a niggle in my knee when I am due to change trainers.
That definitely sounds like nerve pain to me. (I used to work in a Pain Clinic, as well as being a patient!) You should get this checked out, for sure.
