Music vs audio book

Have been listening to music so far on my running journey and do like it but just wondering if anyone listens to audio books instead? Which do you prefer? Not doing c25k now as graduated a while ago and only have the every 1k announcement so wouldn’t interrupt book too much.

Just curious as to what everyone prefers?

I’ve got into long talking podcasts, positive health based ones mostly, but all sorts of subjects. As a slow runner I have one long run a week and I find that I get really lost in the talk and the running just takes care of itself.

I listen to books most of the time. I don't really have time for running and reading, so multi tasking really works for me. I find that having a good book on the go sometimes spurs me on to run- no run, no story!

Sometimes I have music just for a change and especially if I have a knotty problem that needs my attention :)

I’ve been listening to music, but I think when I get to the long runs with no walk breaks 😳 it’ll be podcasts. Got a couple of Russell Brand Under The Skin at the ready

I listen to comedy podcasts usually and find them much better than music. If I have a really good one then the time flies.
