I've been happily plodding along now for the best part of 9 months listening to the same music. I hate running without music but I realised I don't actually listen to it! It's great at blocking out the sound of my heavy breathing but I couldn't tell you what songs I actually have playing in my ears... Strange?
Well I've just discovered a great podcast series, apologies if I'm a bit late to the party here because it's nothing new, but maybe some of you will also enjoy it. I hope I'm allowed to mention them here (?) I guess someone will soon tell me off if not! They're called Free Weekly Timed and talk about running, in particular ParkRun. I find I'm really 'listening' to them and obviously hearing other people's running stories is interesting too 😊 They're presented by Vassos Alexander and Louise Ayling who make for very easy listening, lighthearted but informative. Oh and each one last 28, or is it 29, mins which I'd apparently the average ParkRun finish time... I have a way to go for this goal!

Good post from you rollyrol, interesting listening to the same music for 9 months and not knowing what it is, I have a library of music, must be over 1000 title's from classical, international to pop, mainly oldies from the 60's to about 1999, I don't have any 21st Century music on my CD collection or Smartphone at all. I don't listen to any talk type podcasts or programs either.
Never thought of that I’m still only two months in but sometimes carnt choose what to listen too, going to give this a try I like vasos from the breakfast show
I mostly listen to Podcasts when I run, I find it takes my mind off any 'pain' I'm feeling as I get really engrossed in it. I tend to listen to funny ones, (must look like a lunatic running around the park laughing) but I'll give this one a listen!
I have my trusty playlist with songs I can sing to myself in my head. Mostly it’s rap...???? There’s a little bit of Lenny Kravitz... imagine dragons... Linkin Park remix. When I hear a song that I know will spur me on whilst running it is added
