So today it’s officially 3 months since I did W1R1 and I celebrated by doing Consolidation run 7. I’m still not even half way to running 5k but honestly I don’t give a flying fart. I run for 30 minutes 3 times a week n I’d run more often if I could. My shape has changed, I’ve lost 2 inches off my waist, I’ve started using My Fitness Pal and lost 6 pounds in the last 6 weeks, I’m starting to fit in smaller clothes, my stamina is loads better, I go walking for fun now, I’ve started doing yoga again, my anxiety has almost gone and all in all I’m tons happier. Plus I signed up to do 50 miles in May for Miles for Mind (some running, some walking). If all that has happened in 3 short months I can’t imagine where I’ll be on my 1 year runniversary!
EDIT: I completely forgot to mention all the fantastic people that C25k has brought into my life too. You guys are awesome!!
Today’s run was no longer than any of my other consolidation runs but my pace/speed were quicker even though the weather is warmer than I’d like. Another couple of consolidation runs n I think I’ll be ready to start extending my runs 😃
Happy running!!

Same here! The numbers are more for my own satisfaction than anything, it’s nice to see the tiny increases in distance and pace are still there despite the warmer temperatures. On the plus side, the warmer weather has pushed me to start running in the morning n discover I am actually capable of running on just breakfast without any blood sugar issues 😃
Fan-blooming-tastic! I love your list of achievements and all the positive effects of running. And all that in 3 months!
You'll know when it's time to start extending... one day you'll just think "ooh, I'm enjoying this, I'll go a bit further". Next thing you'll have a spreadsheet and be calculating how much longer you can run on your next run so as to keep your week within the 10% rule!
