1st Consolidation run... and a hail storm!

Dodging rain showers today, a run with a (faster) friend visiting from Belgium... who agreed to slow down for me (in fact she almost ran circles round me!)....

Had a lovely there and back with slight upward return, and except for the drizzle in the last 5 mins which turned into rain, which turned into hail that actually STUNG during the cool down walk. (brrr) ... the dog again wondering why I would tolerate this weather... why didn't I just switch it off?

Hubby had just jumped into the car to try to rescue us as we got into the drive at home... bless him.

Soaking wet, but very happy to have gone running... the 30 mins run went really quickly while chatting with my friend.... so I can already feel that I may be able to become 'comfortable' with a 30 minute run during the next few weeks!

That's good to hear, I head out on my first consolidation run tomorrow and I'm hoping it will become more comfortable in the coming weeks!

Brilliant. Yes,this weather's a bit dodgy isn't it. I got utterly soaked on the way home yesterday and then hardly any rain as I was boiling to death in my running jacket this morning!

You will *definitely* get more comfortable with 30 minutes over the next few weeks. I can't say whether it will ever be easy... I'm not there yet... but it's definitely doable without much fuss.
